You might not know where life is leading you, and you might not even want to. I think it's more exciting if you don't and just take it as it comes.
But it's a whole lot better if you have someone there with you along the way.

You may share the same hobbies, music taste, friends, interests etc. and adore each others company, but unless you share the same ambitions and dreams/goals in life, you wont be following the same path for much longer.
