Today was like stepping into a new way of life. City life is awesome..... at the moment. And i thought I was going to be the one making the coffee - I had Canadian guys offering to go out and buy me starbucks. Obviously, I declined and bought myself one. I spent the day amusing myself with my own 3 computers, dragging boxes across the screens. It's amazing!
being able to have 3 screens running together is pretty fun. I felt like a real city gurrrrrrl. 'The team' are so friendly. There is 11 (including me) working in finance, only I'm taking it pretty chill. It's ridiculously posh there, too. I have 2 ID cards, which I have to swipe EVERYWHERE. I have my own phone and personal email now, and my desk is full of anything you could think of. There are 2 canadians working with us, one has come over to work in London for 6 months, I found him really interesting to talk to. There is one really hot guy who works with finance but i didn't really get the chance to talk to him. He was too busy walking pacing around the room with a handheld talking French. Yes, he's Canadian and speaks French, too. Can you become any more appealing?
I did actually get some work done, too. The manager needed me to sort out invoices from Apple to RBC, so this did involve photocopying etc. :l
But for most of the day I was emailing people and working with Excel doing random shiz.
My feet are in pain from my new heels. Really really bad idea wearing them on my first day.
